Dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe up to 450°F. Avoid sudden temperature changes.

    Beautiful piece of pottery. The results of the bread I baked in it was very disappointing. A small loaf and no crustiness.

    It bakes up fine but it’s not as stable nor heavy as my first one two years ago. I still like the way my bread bakes up.

    I had read elsewhere that pottery should not be heated beyond 428 degrees, which didn’t quite work for me. When baking bread in cast iron, I bake at 485 degrees – can I do this safely with your bread pan (which I bought at the wonderful Rosebud store in Eureka)?

      Hi Pat. This is a great question. We always recommend not going higher than 450F for our bakeware, however, we’ve heard that others have used the Covered Bread Pan in the oven up to 500. The choice is yours, but please do call us if there are any issues. Also, please remember not to take the pan from one extreme temperature to another (like from the fridge directly to the oven).
