The Story of Dogwood

Inspired by the Virginia state flower, our Dogwood pottery collection features large white flowers on a matte sandy-colored glaze base. Our Dogwood collection offers a unique tactile experience for users.

Material: High-fire stoneware clay with lead-safe glaze

Made in: Bedford, Virginia

Care

Dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe up to 450°F. Avoid sudden temperature changes.

Hand-painted designs hold their color for decades with normal use. For deep tea or coffee stains, a paste of baking soda and water will lift them without scratching the glaze.

    I love how these mugs feel in my hand and how the tapered design keeps my coffee warm. I fell in love with the poppy design some years back. I always hope that mug is in the cabinet when I go to pour my coffee. So I decided to treat myself to another, this time in the blueberry design that reminds me of picking berries in my native New England. It’s a tad heavier than my old one, but that’s fine.

    My favorite mug of all time. I absolutely love them. It holds more coffee than you’d expect. On the largest setting from my Keurig, there is still at least an inch of headspace left. Love the glaze, the feel and the look.

    This is my favourite mug of all time. I bought one in a local gift shop and returned the next day for a second. I then bought a third online from Emerson Creek, and just recently a fourth, to be safe. I have tea in these every afternoon. They hold just the right amount, and feel so good in my hands.
