Usage Reminder: This is ceramic pottery. Never use on an open flame or any stovetop. This teapot is designed for bagged tea or loose-leaf tea in a strainer. We do not recommend loose-leaf tea directly inside the teapot as it can get stuck in the spout.

Dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe up to 450°F. Avoid sudden temperature changes.
Hand-painted designs hold their color for decades with normal use. For deep tea or coffee stains, a paste of baking soda and water will lift them without scratching the glaze.

We love this teapot, and after 5 years of use, it’s still in excellent condition! We use this teapot primarily to brew custom, loose-leaf teas, and we are amazed at the heat retention of this teapot. I’m very displeased with this teapot. The spout is extremely narrow, as is the hole where the spout meets the wall of the pot. I gave this to my partner for Christmas. Upon our very first use of the teapot, the spout became clogged by one single chamomile flower. It took almost 5 minutes to pour 2 cups of tea as we had to keep unclogging the spout with a skewer. The pot of tea my partner brewed contained less than 2 teaspoons of loose chamomile flowers. I’m not sure what the designers of this teapot were thinking. Are we meant to brew our tea in a pot on the stove first, then strain it into the teapot? Or are we to use a tea ball or tea bags with this teapot? Teapots we’ve used in the past have a strainer built into the wall of the pot where the spout attaches. This teapot has only a single, tiny hole and the spout is difficult to clean. I don’t like leaving this negative review, but the teapot was a huge disappointment.

Very attractive teapot and holds a full 32 ounces. Great for loose leaf tea making! The thickness of the pot holds the heat for quite a while even without a tea cozy. Using it everyday now! ( I run it through the dishwasher on the top shelf normal cycle.)

We make an effort to seek out small ” Made in America” companies who contribute to their respective local communities. Sure we could have purchased a lower priced tea pot locally or from dreaded local economy draining giant Amazon.
But we chose to invest in America
through a Made in America company. Emerson Creek’s American Blue Tea Pot is worth every cent as it is hands down the best looking, finest crafted tea pot we have ever owned. That includes a made in England Brown Betty. Our Emerson Creek American Blue is sturdier and better looking than any tea pot we have ever owned.
It makes plenty for a second cup or more when sharing a pot. It stays hot longer than any tea pot we have used.
It is sure to become a family heirloom to be enjoyed by future generations. In these days of buy fast, buy cheap. This teapot is so pretty! I bought the large frilly tray to display it on. Beautiful to look at and very usable. Microwave and dishwasher safe. The pearl pottery is my favorite. It’s always a thrill to get a package from Emerson Creek Pottery.
