Dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe up to 450°F. Avoid sudden temperature changes.
Hand-painted designs hold their color for decades with normal use. For deep tea or coffee stains, a paste of baking soda and water will lift them without scratching the glaze.

I purchased this table lamp (online) because I have happily owned another Emerson Creek Pottery lamp for many years. It is one of my favorite lamps. The new lamps are taller than the previous versions. The pottery appears glossier, the design covers a smaller area of the base and the shade is no longer textured.
I was looking forward to adding this new lamp to my sunroom. Unfortunately, there was a problem. A standard sized bulb would not fit under the hoop. It seemed to me that there was an issue with how the lamp was assembled.
I reached out to the company and had several email communications with a representative. I made measurements and sent photos to illustrate the problem. The representative assured me that there was no problem with the lamp, despite evidence to the contrary. She eventually offered me a few options but shipping the lamp back to the company for a return or exchange would be very inconvenient and risky. I solved the problem myself by doing an internet search for a small (appliance sized) bulb. It is the only bulb that would fit.
My advice to customers is to be prepared to buy a smaller bulb.

We purchased two large lamps from you at least 25 years ago and broke one recently. So we thought we would replace them with a matching pair, purchased last month. We were quite disappointed that the new floral glaze doesn’t extend nearly as high on the lamp body as it used to. I suppose this is a cost cutting measure on your part, but the appearance isn’t as nice. Other than that, we like the lamps.
